Opening Reception | Thursday, February 27, 5-7pm
Artist Talk | Sunday, March 9, 2pm

TAMARIND to HOPE features the lithographic print collaborations and solo work of Tim Higbee from the Tamarind Institute and Hope Editions. After studying and printing professionally at the prestigious Tamarind Institute, a division of the College of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico for fine art lithography, Higbee moved to Hope, Maine in 2006 and founded Hope Editions in 2008. Hope Editions specializes in contemporary and traditional approaches to lithography through collaborations between artist and master printer Tim Higbee. It is largely modeled after the highly collaborative environment at the Tamarind Institute.

In addition to Higbee's solo work, the following collaborative artists will be on display: Hope Edition artists Alan Bray, Sam Cady, David Kapp, and George Lloyd; and Tamarind Institute artists Daniel Brice, Willie Cole, Dirk DeBruycker, Eric Garcia, Nicola Lopez, Santiago Perez, Johnnie Winona Ross, Jason Wilson, and Peterson Yazzi. Ross was a highly respected teacher at the Maine College of Art before moving to New Mexico over a decade ago.
